OCCUPY LITTLETON GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Working Groups Reports:

Media group has flyers designed but needs printer: Resize for a quarter page to save paper and ink. Volunteer to pay for printing 100.

Communications Group. Working via e-mail; within week, will have a calendar; and a website presence with a blog and a forum capabilities (can use this for communication among members of various working groups). Trying to think about ways NOT to do it . Trying to set up systems with a more distributed administration so that just not one person has the keys.

An additional administrator of FB page will be set up.

Corporate Personhood and City Council Working Group: On, Tuesday, 7 February (or next City Council meeting),two members are planning on attending the regular Littleton city council meeting. They are going to check out the venue and procedures so they will be familiar with them. All OL members are invited to join them. City Council Meetings are held at 2255 W Berry Ave., off Prince Street, north of Main Street. Additional information is here: http://www.littletongov.org/

Announcements about OD evening march in solidarity with Occupy Oakland, via e-mail from Occupy Colorado. Tweet with hashtag #J29.
Unanimous approval for OL to support this march.

Report on Foreclosure Working Group, a joint effort of Occupy Denver and Colorado Progressive Coalition:

Colorado Progressive Coalition (CPC) group reached out to OD to work on mortgage foreclosure issues, such as identifying ways to find people that are facing foreclosure. The group has broken down into 4 subgroups: direct action, legal, education, and outreach.
CPC is sponsoring 3 bills in Colorado legislative, one of which will try to bring more transparency to the foreclosure process.
CPC, in conjunction with OD, will also be sponsoring direct actions in the coming weeks.
Colorado counties have foreclosure auctions weekly. Denver County holds theirs on Thursday at 10 AM. Arapahoe and Douglas Counties on Wednesday at 10 AM. Additional information, on the Colorado Public Trustee�s websites for each county.

Future General Assemblies:

OL will be holding our weekly GA on Sunday at 2 PM, at Bemis until further notice. We will move outside, to a location yet to be determined, when the weather becomes warmer.
